The new leadership of Ciudadanos is verifying how difficult it will be to revive the party no matter how much “refoundation” they have approved in the recent extraordinary General Assembly that they held just two weeks ago in Madrid. The new leaders of the party are having to face the first great internal crisis when they have not even had time to land in their offices at the national headquarters and the echoes of the bloody battle for the leadership of the formation lived between two opposing sides, that of Edmundo Bal and that of Inés Arrimadas. To all this is now added the flirtations of Begoña Villacís with the leadership of the PP to assess the possibility of joining their lists either as an “internal current” or through a “coalition” in view of the next municipal elections in May, which have shaken for the umpteenth time the foundations of the formation.
