Vince McMahon, the man considered to be the face of the wrestling world, is involved in a sex scandal that is stirring the industry. According to a report in the Wall Street Journal, the WWE is investigating serious suspicions against the legendary owner and CEO, according to which he paid a $ 3 million silence fee to a woman who worked under him and had an extramarital affair with him.
According to the suspicion, McMahon who hired the woman doubled her salary after she agreed to have sex with him, and even “pimped her” and “passed her like a toy” among senior members of the organization, including director of the talent management department John Orintis.
The contract of silence that McMahon bought from the woman with a lot of money, was signed in January this year and he forbids her to complain about it to the police or the workplace, or even to reveal the affair to any third party. A WWE spokesman made it clear that the organization was cooperating fully with the investigation and said the sexual relationship between the two was consensual.
McMahon, 76, is married to Linda McMahon, who has also held senior positions in WWE in the past. The affair apparently took place under her nose.
This is not the first time McMahon has been mentioned in the context of sex scandals. In the late 1980s, McMahon was charged with rape by Rita Cherton, a WWE judge. Cherton said McMahon tried to force her to give him oral sex in a limousine, and when she refused he raped her by force. At the same time, the case has never been tried in court, and over the years Chatterton’s traces have been lost in a somewhat puzzling way.
McMahon has a rich history of scandals. In the early 1990s the empire he built was in real danger of extinction amid the explosion of the WWF steroid affair. He was accused of providing steroid wrestlers with illegal prescriptions. The case dissolves and McMahon eventually wins.
McMahon is also known for giving disgraceful treatment to women. Canadian wrestler Trish Stratos got into some embarrassing cases due to his whims, and on one occasion he forced her to get down on her knees and bark “like a bitch.”
