After a long wait, ‘Venthu Tanintha Kaad’ hit the theaters on Monday. The reason for the wait was that Chimbu is playing the lead in Gautham Vasudev Menon’s directorial. The film is getting good response from the theatres. Actor and director Vineeth Srinivasan has also come to the scene praising the film.
Two days after watching ‘Venthu Tanintha Kaad’, I am still thinking about that movie. I don’t know how this movie will affect the audience as there have been many crime dramas in recent times. But the acting, making and writing excellence makes me want to watch the movie again. This is my favorite Gautham Vasudev Menon movie after Kaka Kaka. Silambarasan’s favorite movie too. His performance is thorough and meticulous. Some directors develop their craft in its best form even after a certain age and experience. That’s when they shine brighter than ever. Neeraj Madhav liked your rap song. Vineeth Srinivasan has written ‘Brodu Bhada’.
Chimpu has also acted in a deglamorized getup in the film. Produced by Dr Ishari K Ganesh under the banner of Wales Film International, Malayalam actor Neeraj Madha is also playing an important role. While Chimbu and Gautham Vasudeva Menon have previously teamed up for romantic dramas, the new film is a rural drama-thriller. Gautham Vasudeva Menon derived the title of the film from the lines of Bharathiyar’s poem beginning ‘Agnikunjondru Kanden’. This poem was also used in the song of the Tamil film ‘Uriyadi’. ‘Vent Tanintha Kaad’ is distributed by Udayanidhi Stalin’s Red Giant Movies. The audience response proves that the film will be a big comeback for Gautham Vasudev Menon.
Chimpu’s previous release is ‘Maha’. Chimbu made an extensive cameo appearance in the film starring Hansika Motwani. The film is directed by UR Jameel. The cinematography of the film was done by J Laxman.
