Violante Placido and Val Comino: «Staying here brings serenity»

by time news

“These places bring serenity. I can’t wait to get to know them better.” Actress Violante Placido enchanted everyone in San Donato Val di Comino where she was a guest at the initiative “La Ciociaria Incontra”, a series of events and appointments organized by Provincia Creativa. And here she is in the setting of the town hall, chatting naturally and frankly about her professional and family life, environmental and social issues. She was with her partner and son Vasco. With them she is sharing a stay in Valle di Comino, an area she said she appreciates. “The landscapes, the nature, the uncontaminated context, make me feel good. I’m ready to explore,” she said announcing the excursion she would take the next day. There was no shortage of reference to her family relationships, in particular with her mother, actress Simonetta Stefanelli, and her father Michele Placido who as a teenager studied for a few years in Scifelli, in the boarding school of the Redemptorist fathers located in the Veroli district.

“It was a tough journey but the training was solid,” said the actress, also focusing on her approach with her father regarding the professional sphere. “I was happy that he respected my times and my growth. At the beginning we didn’t discuss the subject and his silences already said it all. Then we loosened up about cinema and theater.” And there was no shortage of anecdotes about movie stars: George Clooney, Nicolas Cage, Sergio Rubini. The actress showed extreme sensitivity for the women’s issue that she wanted to transfer into the show Femme Fatales that highlights great talents in music and rock and their revolutionary contribution: Patty Pravo just to name one. “I’m ready to bring the show here to San Donato Val di Comino too,” she said enthusiastically.

THE CONCERT

Violante Placido has a soul dedicated to all artistic forms, and she also discovered that she is a singer-songwriter. And the context for the performance was just right with the concert of Fantasia Veneziana that opened and closed the meeting, masterfully performing the most famous songs by Rondò Veneziano and the composer Giampiero Reverberi. The suggestion was enhanced by the period clothes worn by the musicians: Olga Zagorovskaia (violin), Maria Lisa Telera (viola), Enio Marfoli (oboe), Vittorio Oi (piano), Giuseppe Palombo (electric bass), Fabrizio Bartolini (drums). Violante, on the other hand (in the photo) sang Amore che vieni, Amore che vai by Fabriziò De André and with her guitar she proposed the single “Tu stai bene con me” capturing the applause of the audience. Art and culture were the protagonists of an event desired by Provincia Creativa, the Municipality and Pro Loco of San Donato with the works of Paola Fontana as the backdrop. The Creative Province Award was assigned to the actress, honored with a work created in live painting, and who greeted the Comino Valley flanked by institutional representatives: Biagio Cacciola of the scientific committee of the Creative Province, Enrico Pittiglio mayor of San Donato, Luigi Vacana councilor delegated to Culture of the Province of Frosinone who insisted on the need and importance of promoting and moving initiatives of cultural value.
