Violation of law: Oman seizes fishing boats

Muscat: Oman Directorate of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources has seized five fishing boats for violating the law. The incident took place in the governorate of Al Wusta the previous day. Officials said the action was taken for violating the country’s fishing laws.

The crew on the boats did not have licenses. Authorities also found that they had violated fishing distances. Authorities said they were taking legal action against those arrested.
