Riyadh: A total of 13,702 people were arrested during a search operation in Saudi Arabia to find work and residence violations. The offenders were identified during a field inspection conducted from May 26 to June 1.
The inspection is being carried out by Home Ministry officials in collaboration with various units of the security forces and Javas.
A total of 8,362 people were arrested for violating residence laws and 3,513 for violating border laws. 1,827 people were arrested for labor law violations. A total of 253 people have been arrested while trying to enter Saudi Arabia illegally.
