Muscat: The Environment Authority has taken action against many private companies in Oman. The action is for violating the environmental laws of the country. Last day, authorities inspected various institutions in Dhofar Governorate. Notices were issued to the institutions found in violation of the law.

The Oman Environment Authority informed that the field inspection was conducted to check whether the private companies in the country are complying with the environmental requirements. Notices were issued to a number of companies found to have violated the law. In a statement released by the authorities, several organizations have been instructed to change their operations.

Massive drug hunt in Oman; More than 40 kg of hashish was seized

Muscat: A large collection of alcohol was found in the residences of expatriates in Oman. The inspection was conducted at two places in Seeb Vilayam, Muskat.

According to a statement issued by Oman Customs, the seized liquor was stored for distribution. In connection with this, four people were arrested during the investigation. Those arrested are of Asian origin. The images of the seized goods were published by the Oman Customs authorities on social media. No other information was available, including the nationalities of the accused.
