35 illegal workers arrested for violating work permits in Bahrain The violations were discovered during a joint inspection campaign conducted by the Labor Market Regulatory Authority in collaboration with the Ministry of Home Affairs. The authority said that 35 illegal workers were arrested for violating work permits and eight manpower agencies operating without licenses were referred for legal action.
The LMRA also expressed its commitment to monitor and regulate the labor market by setting up special teams to ensure that labor and residence rights in the country are protected and to ensure a safe working environment.

The authority emphasized the importance of all enterprises and individuals following the statutory procedures and obtaining necessary licenses from the LMRA. The LMRA also said it will continue to conduct inspections in cooperation with various departments to protect the existing residency and employment laws in Bahrain.
