The service, currently managed by the “Xenia Onlus” cooperative, is expiring, but the municipal administration has every intention of extending it. «The Region has announced that further funds will be allocated for anti-violence centres, our intention – said councilor Ruggiero – is to not interrupt this service, which we consider essential».

Another aspect concerns the shelter in via Astuti, housed in an asset confiscated from organized crime. There is a desire to transfer the center from via Libroia to the Luggo park structure. «There are ongoing discussions, we would like to move it there to guarantee greater protection and confidentiality for our users», said Ruggiero. A structure that one would like to name Annalisa D’Auria, killed two weeks ago by her partner Agostino Annunziata. The proposal was put forward in the Equal Opportunities Commission by the councilor of Noi con Nocera Attiva, Vincenzo Sellitto: «I felt it was right to suggest it to remember our fellow citizen who was the victim of femicide. Furthermore, the property is located in the neighborhood where Annalisa grew up».
