Violence against women: “In the background are structural problems”

The year 2022 is only a few days old, and Upper Austria has already been shaken by a femicide: On January 8, a man shot his wife in Weißenkirchen im Attergau. The OÖN spoke to Silvia Ulrich, head of the Institute for Legal Gender Studies at the JKU, and Doris Weichselbaumer, head of the Institute for Women and Gender Research, about why attacks against women keep happening.
