The incident occurred after the final whistle at Trabzonspor’s stadium, with a fan heading towards the defeated team’s players to attack them, with others following and clashes between the two sides beginning.
Images show punches exchanged, a fan threatening a player with a corner flag, Fenerbahçe goalkeeper Livakovic being punched in the face, and Batshuayi kicking a fan, among other cases.
The incidents led to the arrest of 12 people.
“Twelve people were identified as being involved in the incidents that occurred after the Trabzonspor-Fenerbahçe game and were detained,” specified Ali Yerlikaya on the X social network.
Turkish Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya has already condemned the incidents and announced the opening of an investigation to identify the fans, in a championship already marked by violence in December, when the competition stopped after the attack on the Ankaragüçü-Rizespor referee, for fans and the president of the Ankara formation.
