(ANSA) – TRIESTE, 19 AUG – Regarding the violence at the Monfalcone Emergency Room, the Giuliano Isontina University Health Authority wanted to clarify that it was an aggression against the staff “fortunately only verbal, even if it caused material damage to a door that was torn off”. Asugi also reassured “the population, reminding that within all the Emergency Rooms of the Authority there is an active system for recording episodes of violence and support for the operators involved and that for over a year, the ‘point-to-point line’ protocols have been active for emergency calls directed to the police”, used in this case.
Furthermore, internal training modules on context analysis techniques, identification of risk situations and de-escalation techniques are active for all personnel. ASUGI reported in a note that it has provided “all the material in its possession to the Police Forces who are ascertaining what happened”.
Finally, the staff, after the incident and in compliance with the provisions of the company protocol “Prevention of violence against operators”, has already reported it internally. (ANSA).
