Violent Typhoon Shanshan arrived on Thursday morning in Kyushu, the main island in the south of Japan, according to what the meteorology announced.

The Japan Meteorological Agency said, “The center of Typhoon No. 10 into land near the city of Sasumasendai in Kagoshima Prefecture at around 8 am (Wednesday 23:00 GMT).
Power was cut to a quarter of a million homes due to the passage of the hurricane, which brought heavy rain and strong winds that reached speeds of up to 252 km/h.
In anticipation of the arrival of the hurricane, the authorities sent the highest alert “special.”
At dawn on Thursday, the Japan Meteorological Agency said: “Extremely alert for severe storms, waves and high tides in Kagoshima, as well as landslides and floods in low-lying areas and overflowing rivers in southern Kyushu.”
“The risk of disasters due to heavy rain may increase rapidly in western Japan by Friday,” the agency warned.
