A video of the Taliban burning a musical instrument in front of a musician in Afghanistan’s Baghdad province has gone viral. An Afghan journalist is seen in the video crying as he watches his musical instrument being set on fire.
A viral video released by Abdulhaq Omery, a senior Afghan journalist, shows a gunman looking at him and making fun of him, while another videotaped his “victim’s mental state.”
Earlier, the Taliban had banned music from playing in vehicles, saying it was a violation of Sharia law. In addition, the Taliban seized control of the area, ordering the Taliban to decapitate female dolls placed in clothing stores in the province of Herat, Afghanistan, in violation of Sharia law, and to remove posters and paintings of women in the shops.
