Virtual Queue Booking for Sabarimala Darshan for Makaramasa Puja Begins
The virtual queue booking for Sabarimala Darshan during the Makaramasa Puja has officially commenced. The booking process began on January 16 and will continue until January 20. Pilgrims can book slots for darshan, with 50,000 slots available on January 16 and 60,000 slots per day from January 17 to 20.
Travancore Devaswom Board President PS Prashanth has announced that spot booking will only be allowed at three specified centers, namely Pampa, Nilakkal, and Vandiperiyar during this time.
As the Makaravilak festival approaches, the Sabarimala Sannidhanam is already bustling with pilgrims. In preparation for the upcoming influx, a new batch of police personnel has taken charge at Sabarimala. Former Malappuram SP and Anti-Naxal Squad Chief S Sujit Das has been appointed as the new Special Officer at Sabarimala Sannidhanam.
In related news, there have been discussions about the Tamilnadu RTC buses arriving for Pampa-Nilakkal service. The High Court is set to consider the petition today.
