During the Panguni Pongal festival at the Parasakthi Mariamman Temple in Virudhunagar, a large number of devotees paid homage with devotional ecstasy by lighting a firecracker and stabbing the unit. Sami darshan was attended by a large number of local and foreign devotees at the festival.

Virudhunagar Parasakthi Mariamman Temple Panguni Pongal Festival started on March 27 with flag hoisting. Everyday the goddess awoke in various halls. On the first night of the festival, female devotees collected water in jugs and poured it on the flagpole for worship.

Not only in Virudhunagar but also in the surrounding villages, a large number of people participated. Women worshiped in front of the temple. The fasting devotees carried Agni Chatti and paid their dues. With this, they came to the cane tank, black spot red spot and paid the fine to the mother.

In addition, the devotees took 1,621 firecrackers and paid the dues. Devotees thronged across Virudhunagar for the festival. Sami darshan was attended by a large number of local and foreign devotees during the festival.
