Virudhunagar— Collector Meghnatha Reddy said that the total number of polling booths will increase from 1885 to 1889 after the analysis and revision work in Virudhunagar district. A consultation meeting with the political parties was held at the Virudhunagar Collector’s office yesterday for the polling booth analysis and reconstruction work, DRO, Ravikumar. In this meeting, polling centers were visited and consent was obtained from political parties and people’s representatives regarding relocation, reorganization, name change, creation of new polling stations, 1 polling booth in Srivilliputhur Assembly Constituency and 3 new polling booths in Arupukottai. Thus the total number of polling booths in Virudhunagar district will increase from 1885 to 1889. Collector Meghnatha Reddy said. Collector’s Interview Assistant Kalimuthu, District Election Officer Marishelvi and many other party leaders participated in this meeting.
