Performing as part of the 10th edition of the Visa For Music festival, “Aita Mon Amour” (Morocco-Tunisia) took the audience on a musical journey that awakened the memory with a delicate touch of nostalgia, through the interpretation of emblematic musical pieces reflecting the authenticity and richness of the art of Aïta, while highlighting the particularity of the rich and diverse Moroccan musical heritage.

On stage, the duo was able to captivate the audience with its remarkable presence, carried by the powerful and captivating voice of its main singer, Widad Mjama and the skill of her artistic partner, Khalil Hantati, who succeeded in highlighting the contemporary facet of Aïta.

The public let themselves be carried away by the rhythms from the rich repertoire of popular music, with pieces such as “Aïta Radouni”, “Aïta Dami”, “Hajti Fgrini” and even “Sidi Ahmed”.

Speaking on this occasion, Moroccan singer Widad Mjama said she was happy with this first participation in the Visa For Music Festival, stressing that the artistic project “Aita Mon Amour” aims to highlight popular musical heritage by presenting it in ‘a contemporary and attractive way.

“Aïta presents itself as the art of all Moroccans, transcending regional borders,” she remarked, affirming her commitment, alongside her artistic partner, to learning the Moroccan dialect for an in-depth understanding of the meanings and secrets conveyed by these songs, notably through frequent visits to Moroccan cities such as Safi and others, which constitute the cradle of this musical heritage.

Placed under the High Patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, this 10th edition, which continues until November 25, offers more than 60 new musical concerts, in addition to the organization of 15 meetings, conferences and workshops.

The Visa For Music festival aims to be a space for exchange and dialogue between artists and professionals in the music industry, including production houses, artistic agents, artistic directors, cultural institutions, the media and trainers. .
