AGI – The General Council of Federmeccanica, which met online, appointed Federico Visentin as the sole candidate for the presidency of the Federation. The indication was made on the basis of the report presented by the Appointment Commission after the broadest consultation of the members. The election of the new president will take place during the General Assembly, which will be held on June 25th.
Federico Visentin was born in Padua in 1963. He graduated in Business Economics at the Bocconi University of Milan ed joins the family business, Mevis SpA of Rosà (You). Founded in 1961, Mevis designs and manufactures springs and stamped and welded metal components.
During his university studies introduces the methods of “Lean Production” to the company. Pushes the company in foreign markets and in the automotive sector. He has been leading the company since the end of the 1990s, holding the role of president and CEO.
Former national vice president of Federmeccanica with responsibility for Education, he is delegate for Italy on the Board of ESF – European Mollifici Federation. He is also president of Cuoa – Altavilla Vicentina Business School (We).
