Usually in Tamil Nadu, Pongal release is a celebration of the release of films starring Tamil leading actors. But recently, films made in other languages under the name of Pan Indian Release have also been released here during the festive season and have started to gallop. But due to the spread of Omigron, the RRR film has pulled out of the Pongal race as restrictions have been imposed on 50 per cent seats in theaters. Earlier, it was announced that the film would be released on January 26.
