Dubai: Saudi Arabia plans to send its own astronauts, including a female astronaut, into space next year. The ban on women driving was lifted in 2018. Also, women were allowed on the football field. The first woman ambassador was appointed. Following this, the country’s government is planning to send a female astronaut into space.

In a statement issued by the Saudi Space Authority, the Saudi Astronaut Program is an integral part of the country’s ambitious program Vision 2030. It will help to serve humanity better. One of the astronauts will be a Saudi woman. His space service will be the first in the country’s history. A training program will be launched with the aim of sending homegrown astronauts,’ it said.
