The Prime Minister Head of Government visited this Friday, March 17, the Paddy rice husking unit, a regional project that will give a boost to the agricultural sector in the area.

The Director of the Ousmane CISSÉ Unit explained the positive impact of this unit for achieving food security.

It was an opportunity for producers, through the voice of their spokesperson, to raise the difficulties that hinder agricultural activity: the high cost of fertilizer, climate change, crop pest birds, etc.

A message well received by the Prime Minister who says he is proud of the efforts made by the population despite the crisis situation. After the defense and security forces who have restored our sovereignty, Choguel also salutes the producers and other actors in the food chain who ensure an important part of our sovereignty by reducing our dependence in this other area.

The ceremony took place in the presence of the Minister of National Reconciliation, Peace and National Cohesion, in charge of the Agreement for Peace and Reconciliation Colonel Major Ismaël WAGUE, the Minister of Rural Development Mr. Modibo KEITA, the Minister Delegate to the Minister of Rural Development, in charge of Livestock and Fisheries Mr. Youba BAH and the Minister Delegate to the Minister of Health and Social Development in charge of Humanitarian Action, Solidarity, Refugees and Displaced Persons, Mr. Oumarou DIARRA.

An official delivery of agricultural equipment ended the visit, which marks considerable progress in the development of agricultural processing in Mopti.
