Ilopango, San Salvador. In the coming months, the town of Ilopango will have a modern sports complex called Vista al Lago.
Vice President Félix Ulloa and the mayor of the town, José Chicas, placed this Tuesday, April 25, the first stone of the work that will allow children and youth to practice their sports in an adequate space for healthy recreation.
In addition, it will seek the development of skills that will translate into better opportunities and guarantee its good growth, the authorities explained.
The private company that shares the vision of transformation of the city has a great participation in this work; the complex will be donated as a social project by the businessman Eli Bahaia representing Desarrollos Agrícolas Santa Marta.
The Mayor mentioned that the municipality of Ilopango was stigmatized by violence for many years, and that the policies of President Nayib Bukele have had a great impact. Ulloa, meanwhile, highlighted the overcoming of this violent stage generated by terrorist groups, which now allows the construction of a project of peace, well-being and freedom and with tangible evidence of the success of the Territorial Control Plan.
