If something has characterized the Argentine music industry, it is the wide variety of projects there are. Diverse sounds are what have placed Argentina as an important point of music. On the underground side he is one of them and Life Set is one of the bands that seek to surprise with a new release.

And the people from La Plata are about to release an album that will include 12 songs in which they will talk about the apocalyptic world and an example of them are their singles “Laplata” (now available) and “El Apagón” that will be released this 25th. of April.

“The next Vita Set is an album that we have been working on for two years and yes, it is definitely a new era for us because the songs contrast quite a bit with the previous album (Affair),

That’s the band’s philosophy; propose something new. In this album there will be a little more of certain apocalyptic metaphors and there is a narrative, an imaginary and a world of words and images that we created,” he shared. Ignacio Urbiztondovocalist of Life Set in an interview with 24 HOURS.

And in addition to starting a new one, they also have a new record label which is Art & Crafts México which reinforces the relationship they have with our country.

“In 2022 we went to Mexico for the first time and we did a tour that was incredible and from there our relationship with Mexico grew every time. We received the proposal of Arts & Crafts and it is important that there are people behind supporting and trusting one’s music,” Ignacio added.

The sound that will predominate in the next Vita Set project is pop but one of the variants is hyperpop, a more strident and aggressive sound for the topics they will play.

“It is a variant of pop more linked to (social) networks and higher BPM of pop, with exaggerated autotune or more aggressive effects. We have incorporated it into the new album and it is good that we experimented with something we have never done before,” mentioned Manuel Álvarez, bassist of the project.

The origin of Vita Set

From a very young age the members of Vita Set knew what they wanted to do. Innovation and the thirst to propose something new was what motivated them to create the band in 2015.

“We met as kids studying music and well, what brought us together was both the influences and the desire to make new music. In the city of La Plata we saw many live bands, especially from the underground that made us understand what it means to make music,” concluded Ignacio.
