The attack was violent and rapid. A mother and her son were robbed, by three or four hooded men according to several sources, at their home in Vitry-sur-Seine, during the night from Friday to Saturday. They left with cash. The son, beaten several times with his fists and with the butt of a weapon, was hospitalized at the Pasteur clinic. His days are not in danger.
The case starts shortly before midnight, in an apartment on Avenue de la Commune. A woman and her son are suddenly awakened by violent knocking on the front door of their home. They barely have time to react when several men, their faces hidden under a balaclava, gloved, one armed with an automatic pistol and another with a gas, enter the entrance.
In search of a bag, they leave with cash
Immediately one of the attackers sprayed the woman with tear gas. Blinded, she manages to take refuge in her room. Her son does not have time to do the same and suffers several blows to the face. The criminals seem to be looking for a bag they will never find. After going through the apartment with a fine-toothed comb, they ended up leaving with several hundred euros in cash, belonging to the mother.
By the time the woman called for help, her son went on his own to the nearby Pasteur clinic for first aid. The departmental section of the judicial police was seized of the file. A cartridge would have been found on the spot. At this stage of the investigation, all the hypotheses, such as an error of address, revenge… are considered.
Last November, in Créteil, several men broke down the door of the apartment of a young 18-year-old woman. While one of the attackers held the victim on his bed, the other four had stolen a flat screen and numerous objects before fleeing. It was actually revenge disguised as burglary. The young woman’s boyfriend was convinced that she was cheating on him. The five suspects, four of whom are incarcerated, should be tried next January.
