Vivo launches its new X80 smartphone with a 6.78-inch AMOLED screen

Vivo launched its new X80 smartphone, which features a 6.78-inch AMOLED screen with an image refresh rate of 120Hz.

The Chinese company explained that the screen has a brightness of 1500 nits, with a full display of the DCI-P3 color gamut.

Inside the new smartphone, the MediaTek Dimensity 9000 processor, with 8 or 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of internal memory, beats.

The phone includes a triple rear camera consisting of a 50-megapixel main lens, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 12-megapixel telescopic lens, with a 32-megapixel selfie camera, in addition to an optical image stabilization.

The 4,500mAh battery can be charged via the 80W USB-C port.

The price of the phone reaches 565 US dollars, or 530 euros.

Vivo Communications Technology is a Chinese technology company owned by BBK Electronics, which manufactures smart phones, phone accessories, software, and Internet services, as well as Oppo, Realme, and OnePlus.

It was founded in 2009 in Dongguan, China and is a major player in the Asian phone market. The company is developing special programs for the versions of its phones, such as the Vivo Store and iManager, which are added by default with their modified operating system “Fun Touch OS” based on the Android system.

And the activity of Vivo has been expanded since 2009 to reach more than a hundred countries around the world. Vivo has started its international expansion since 2014 when it entered the Thai market. Then in 2017, Vivo entered the smartphone market in Russia, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Brunei, Macau, Cambodia, Laos, Bangladesh and Nepal. It entered in the same year 2017, June, for the smartphone market in Pakistan and is currently one of the fastest growing brands in the country.

In November 2017, the company entered the Nepalese market with the Y53 and Y65 phones. It also announced its entry into 14 markets in the Middle East, including Egypt, Morocco, South Africa, Saudi Arabia and the UAE, since late July 2019
