The Russian social network VKontakte has launched disappearing and silent messages. They are only available in the mobile app. To send such a message, you need to hold down the send button and select the desired type.
Disappearing messages disappear after a certain time. They will come in handy if, for example, you want to send a joke or a meme to a serious chat: they will be deleted over time, but important conversations will remain. You can set the time after which the message disappears: from 15 seconds to 24 hours. Then the message “message disappeared” will be displayed in the chat. Quiet messages come without sound. They will be useful if, for example, the topic is off and you do not want to distract the interlocutor, as well as for those who like to work at night.
Earlier, VKontakte announced the possibility for communities to call users, and also announced the possibility of communicating with the voice assistant Marusya using the social network.
