Putin has claimed to have earned only $700,000 in his six years as Russia’s president.
Russian President Vladimir Putin’s income statement has been released. The details for this have been published by the Central Election Commission of Russia.
Over the past six years, Putin has earned about 67.6 million rubles ($753,000), according to Russia’s Central Election Commission.
In other words, it is reported that Putin earned only Rs.23.75 crore in Sri Lankan rupees.
He is said to have received this income from 2018 to 2024.
Putin is contesting the presidential election to be held in March. Nomination papers filed for election included details of Putin’s income.
It states that Putin has earned his income over the past six years from salaries, bonds, bank deposits, military and civilian pensions.
It also includes income from sale of property. Putin has some assets to his name. He has a 77 square meter apartment and 18 square meter garage in St. Petersburg.
Moscow has a building of 153.7 square meters. These were leased to the government. He is also reported to have a parking lot in St. Petersburg.
According to the document, Putin owns two GAZ M-21 cars. Those cars were manufactured in 1960 and 1965. Also owns a 1987 campaign car and a Lada Niv bought in 2009.
Putin also mentioned his savings details in it. He is said to have six lakh dollars in about ten bank accounts.
Also, St Petersburg Bank has 230 shares. The value of each share is 280 rubles.
The presidential election will be held from March 15 to 17. Putin looks likely to win a fifth term in the election.
