Millions of users follow Jack Doherty on various social media platforms. He has almost 15 million followers on YouTube alone. 185,000 of them witnessed live how the 20-year-old man crashed his luxury car on a US highway.
After the incident, the YouTube star called for help, and rescuers immediately rushed to the scene.
On Saturday morning, the vlogger drove his car on a wet road. Pictures taken by his cameraman Michael show him behind the wheel. The young man doesn’t quite follow the rules – while one hand is on the steering wheel, the other is holding a smartphone, which he seems to be constantly watching as he speeds in the left lane of a highway.
Suddenly excited screams are heard and the camera shakes. The luxury car spun, possibly due to aquaplaning, and crashed into the guardrail, Bild reported.
The two young people who crashed later showed their good mood from the hospital to which they were taken. This time, Doherty was filming his slightly injured cameraman.
A short time later, Doherty’s YouTube account was disabled for violating the platform’s guidelines. Most US states prohibit using a phone while driving. The vlogger faces a fine of between 50 and 500 dollars, writes bTV.
Doherty started her YouTube channel at the age of 13 and has since gained fame mostly with prank videos and daring stunts.
Dougherty previously shared that he bought his sports car at the end of last year and painted it in bright colors.
