A month before Vodun Days, the big posters of the festival are revealed to the public. The Vodun pilgrimage that will take place in Ouidah from 9 to 11 January 2025 will also vibrate to the rhythm of concerts with young Beninese artists like Axel Meryl and many other stars.
Along with major spiritual events such as the grate Vodun ceremony, a celebration in the heart of the ouidah arena and the cultural show, two concerts are held around Vodun days. The first brings together Beninese and international artists of modern music.
Such as, the audience will see the Beninese artist Bobo Wê performing on stage in this category. The latter performs Gangan Trap, a combination of drum talking with wind and other instruments to produce music that is not far from Afro pop. The artist his nickname “The Gangan Trap has been set” is the headline in this same category.
The organizing committee also announces participation of Axel Mery at the party. the social media phenomenon turned prosperous singer recently the best West African artist at PRIMUD 2024, are already encouraging their followers to participate in Vodun days 2025.
The names of other contemporary artists should be revealed in the coming days. The institution plans to publish a complete list of stars expected at this edition of the celebration. This list also includes traditional music singers scheduled for the second concert of Vodun days 2025.
