After being accused of the alleged crime of sexual abuse, Alfonso Obregón was arrested on August 10 at the Benito Juárez International Airport in Mexico City while preparing to travel to Colombia. From there, he was transferred to a Mexican prison. It was journalist Carlos Jiménez who broke the news.
“Alfonso Obregón is the voice of characters like the ogre Shrek, Bugs Bunny, the lucky rabbit, and the zebra from Madagascar,” Jiménez wrote on his X account. “Agents from the Mexico City Investigation Police arrested him at the Mexico City International Airport. The Mexico City Attorney’s Office accuses him of abusing a student. He is going to prison.”
For its part, the Investigation Police of the Aztec capital confirmed the arrest. “Agents from the Mexico City Investigation Police of the Mexico City Attorney’s Office executed an arrest warrant against a man in the Venustiano Carranza borough, for his probable participation in the crime of sexual abuse, events recorded in February 2022, in the Cuauhtémoc borough.”
