Maccabi Tzur Shalom Children III – Coast League champions last season, played their first game in the Central League. In fact, this is the first team of the Makrit Bialikat club, which plays in a senior children’s league. The first game invited Tsur Shalom to host the “Zo Pius” team of MK Gani Tikva – which is also the first from the club it represents to play in this league.
Tzur Shalom opened with a storm and took the first lead, this after the talented striker Yonatan Asraf scored from close range after stealing a ball, created after high pressure from Tzur Shalom – which took the lead 0:1.
In the 15th minute, Tzur Shalom increased the lead to 0:2, with a goal by midfielder Daniel Moyal with a shot after a strike by Roei Vahrtan.
The first half was under the control of Tzur Shalom. The strong middle line of Tzur Shalom was well held by the players Harel Laini and Adir Mor and thwarted the attempts of Gani Tikva to develop attacks.
The second half opened with high pressure from Tzur Shalom which did not translate into more goals. Gani Tikva took control of the middle and reached several situations, which were thwarted by the brakes Amir Bohbot and Kiel Nihad. A threatening free kick was registered for Gani Tikva which was stopped by the talented goalkeeper Barak Kortevic. In the final minutes, Gani Tikva reduced the score to 1:2, at the end of a beautiful and orderly attack. Until the end of the game, the score remained the same.
The winning coach, Yaniv Azachi, said at the end: “We are all excited to belong to this strong league. Congratulations to the children who proved that they deserve to play in the leading league in Israel for the 2011 year. We have a special and talented group of children, we have goals.
