The volcano on the Spanish Canary Island of La Palma does not come to rest even after a good three weeks. Lava flows destroyed at least four other buildings in the village of Callejon de la Gata on Saturday, Reuters officials reported. The National Geological Institute of Spain recorded a series of at least 37 seismic movements with a magnitude of up to 4.1.

The lava flow tirelessly goes its destructive path

The eruption was accompanied by twitching lightning bolts over the volcanic crater, which can occur as a result of ash eruptions. The volcanic eruption began on September 19th. More than 800 buildings have already been destroyed and around 6,000 people had to leave their homes for security reasons.
