Action will be taken to refund tickets soon
The Korea Volleyball Federation (KOVO) announced on the 30th that it would cancel the Dodram 2024-2025 V-League All-Star Game scheduled to be held at the Chuncheon Lakeside Gymnasium in Gangwon-do on January 4, 2025.
On this day, KOVO held an emergency meeting in the conference room of the federation and after carefully discussing whether or not to proceed with this week’s All-Star Game, decided to cancel it.
KOVO said, “It is a very difficult situation to hold the All-Star Game, which should be held in a festive atmosphere during the national mourning period when the entire nation is in sorrow due to the airliner accident that occurred yesterday,” and added, “We also considered ways to proceed calmly by refraining from events and cheering.” “We decided that it did not fit the meaning of the All-Star Game, where fans should all laugh and have fun together,” he explained.
He added, “We have carefully reviewed the possibility of delaying the All-Star Game by 2-3 weeks, but this also poses many difficulties due to the complexities of each club’s game schedule adjustment and stadium rental issues.”
KOVO plans to announce related follow-up measures, including refunds for All-Star Game tickets, soon.
KOVO said, “Once again, we express our deepest condolences to the victims and bereaved families of this disaster.”
