Sankarankoil won the district level volleyball tournament at Nallur near Alangulam.
120 teams from Tenkasi, Tirunelveli, Kumari, Thoothukudi and Virudhunag districts participated in the one day volleyball tournament organized by the Alladi Student Council. In this competition Sankarankoil Meenthulli team won the championship title, Alladi Student Council won the second place and Kasiapuram team won the third prize. The winners were presented with a trophy and a cash prize by the Student Council.
