Voluntary blood donation is organized by the Labor Center of Ioannina, responding to the call of the blood donation department of the P.G.N.I. to cover the need for blood, calling in turn the unions and the workers to help.
The blood donation will take place on Wednesday, September 4, from 4 pm to 8 pm, in the event hall of the Labor Center of Ioannina (Yosef Eligia 7).
“In the adverse conditions we live in, organized collective solidarity is the weapon of our people against the overall attack on our lives and rights. At the same time, dozens of work accidents across the country highlight the need for blood. We are fighting so that the blood is used as a source of life and not spilled in the workplaces and on the fields of imperialist wars. We call on the unions to make it their business to strengthen their own blood bank. We call on all the workers and unemployed of our city, who can donate blood, to participate en masse”, he says in a statement.
