The Marker robotic platform will be able to neutralize intruder drones using kamikaze drones, electronic pulses and networks. This was reported to TASS in the press service of the NGO “Android Technology”.
Earlier, the head of Roscosmos Dmitry Rogozin told about the beginning of patrolling by Marker of the Vostochny cosmodrome. The platform works in both radio-controlled and autonomous modes.
The robot is capable of detecting various types of intruders – ground vehicles, copters, people without admission to the cosmodrome. Information about unauthorized access is immediately transmitted to the task force. After that, the “Marker” is able to start pursuing and intercepting the object. In case of detection of an intruder, the platform will first use a sound system. “Marker” was created in cooperation with the National Center for the Development of Technologies and Basic Elements of Robotics FPI and NPO Android Technology.
