MURCIA. Vox wants to be decisive in Archena, one of the PP strongholds in the Region of Murcia. The National Executive Committee of Vox has appointed the lawyer candidate for the mayor’s office Jaime Garcia Garcia.
Born and raised in Archena, the mayor studied Law at the University of Murcia and has various master’s degrees, according to the party. He has been a practicing lawyer since 2019, the year he opened his first own office in Archena. A year later he started another law firm in Fortuna.
On April 6, Vox presented the candidacy with the presence of the regional leader and candidate for the Community, Jose Angel Anteloand the regional manager, Joaquin Vincent.
Vox wants to achieve change
Vox seeks to turn around the Archena City Council. The party barely got a single councilor (Francisco Lopez Lozano) in the 2019 elections, in which the PP of Patricia Fernandez He swept again with an absolute majority (the third in a row since 2011).
The popular ones achieved 10 councilors in a municipal corporation whose absolute majority stands at 9. The PSOE stayed at 5 while Unidas Podemos and Vox each got one.
