V’s Solo Song “Love Me Again” Tops New Music Poll
V’s solo song “Love Me Again” has claimed the top spot in this week’s new music poll. Music fans participated in a poll published by Billboard, selecting the soothing R&B track by the BTS member as their favorite new music release of the past week.
With an impressive 97% of the vote, “Love Me Again” outperformed other new releases such as Olivia Rodrigo’s “Bad Idea Right?”, Karol G’s “Tomorrow Will Be Beautiful (Bichota Season)”, and DJ Khaled’s collaboration with Lil Baby, Future, and Lil Uzi Vert titled “Supposed To Be Loved.”
“Love Me Again” is set to appear on V’s upcoming solo album, titled “Layover,” which is scheduled for release on September 8. The album will feature a total of six tracks, including “Rainy Days,” “Blue,” “Love Me Again,” “Slow Dancing,” “For Us,” and a bonus track piano version of “Slow Dancing.”
V is the latest member of the world-renowned K-pop group BTS to announce a solo album. BIGHIT, the group’s agency, recently confirmed that Suga has begun the military enlistment process, making him the third BTS member to join South Korea’s mandatory military service after Jin and J-Hope.
In recent months, BTS members have been releasing solo projects alongside their group activities. Jung Kook’s collaboration with Latto titled “Seven” reached the number one spot on the Billboard Hot 100 chart last month, while Suga’s solo release “D-Day” arrived in April and Jimin’s “FACE” (including the Hot 100 No. 1 hit “Like Crazy”) was released in March.
Rodrigo’s new single “Bad Idea Right?” came in second place on the poll, garnering nearly 2% of the vote.
