jpnn.comBANDUNG – The fate of Sheila On 7’s concert in Bandung City is still hanging until today. The music concert titled ‘Wait for Me’ was scheduled to be held at the Gelora Bandung Lautan Api (GBLA) Stadium on September 28, 2024.
This means that there are three weeks left for the promoter to announce the new venue for the Yogyakarta band’s music concert.
Head of Development and Sports Infrastructure of Bandung City Youth and Sports Agency Hendy Maulana Yusup said that GBLA Stadium is currently being renovated by the PUPR Ministry. Therefore, all activities in the stadium need to obtain permission and recommendations from PUPR.
“Currently, GBLA is being renovated by the PUPR Ministry. All activities, both football matches and music concerts, must have recommendations from there,” said Hendy, Saturday (7/9/2024).
Hendi explained that currently the GBLA Stadium is officially managed by PT Persib Bandung Bermartabat (PBB).
According to him, the Bandung City Youth and Sports Agency only has authority over areas outside the stadium.
In addition, at the end of this month there is also a League 1 schedule between Persib Bandung and Persija Jakarta on September 23.
Therefore, Hendy said that the suitability of the GBLA Stadium for use is still the authority of the PUPR Ministry.
