(ANSA) – TRIESTE, JULY 13 – “I have forwarded to Minister Schillaci the evidence that has emerged publicly from the investigations of the Public Prosecutor’s Office of Trieste on the waiting lists for specialist examinations in the Trieste health system. I asked the minister what monitoring actions have been undertaken and whether it is not necessary to proceed with inspection investigations aimed at ascertaining the methods of management of the waiting lists in this and any other cases. The path of justice has its own peculiarities of method and merit that must be respected, but it is up to politics to act with its tools on the basis of the elements that are brought to our attention”. This is the content of the question that Senator Tatjana Rojc (PD) addressed to the Minister of Health Orazio Schillachi on the management of waiting times to obtain a specialist examination within the Trieste health system and in FVG.
The inspection act was signed by fourteen other senators of the Pd group at Palazzo Madama. “I asked the Minister of Health – Rojc reports – if he is aware of this situation that involves not only the Azienda ospedaliera giuliana isontina, but also many other health companies in the country. We would also like to understand if the abnormal dilation of the times of diagnostic tests is attributable to specific shortcomings of Asugi or if it involves the management of the regional health system of FVG”.
Considering that the “Waiting Lists” decree-law is being examined by the Senate, Rojc hopes that “the Government will want to accept the corrective initiatives of the PD that we have proposed, starting with what is foreseen in the health bill proposed by Elly Schlein”. (ANSA).
