Walton Hi-Tech Industries Plc, one of the top industrial companies of the country, is receiving the National Export Trophy for its contribution to the export sector through employment generation. The company is getting gold medal for special contribution in electrical and electronics products sector. 77 organizations will receive the National Export Trophy for the financial year 2021-2022. Besides, an organization will receive the Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Export Trophy as the organization that earns the most foreign exchange.

On Sunday (July 14), the National Export Trophy awarding ceremony was organized at the Osmani Memorial Auditorium. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will be present as the chief guest at the event and will hand over the trophy to the winners.

State Minister for Commerce Ahsanul Islam Titu will preside over the event, Tipu Munshi, President of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Commerce Ministry will be the special guest and FBCCI President Mahbubul Alam will be present as the guest of honour.

This information was given at the press conference organized on the occasion of the national export trophy award ceremony at the TCB Auditorium in the capital’s Caravan Bazaar on Saturday (July 13). The Minister of State for Commerce was present at the press conference.

It was informed at the event that, following the National Export Trophy Policy-2013, through preliminary and final selection committee, out of a total of 32 exporters, the trophy winners were evaluated for the fiscal year 2021-2022 based on export revenue, revenue growth, addition of new products, entry into new markets, and compliance. selected Gold, silver and bronze trophies will be awarded to the best exporters for each sector. In addition, it has been decided to give a total of 29 gold, 27 silver and 21 bronze trophies with 1 special trophy (gold) under the title of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Export Trophy to the organization that has the highest export income among all sectors.

Who will get the trophy this time

Apart from this, the companies selected for the national export trophy in the three categories of gold, silver and bronze are Windy Apparels getting gold, Apparel Gallery getting silver and Chittagong Asian Apparels getting bronze in readymade garments sector (oven). In Readymade Apparel (Knitwear) Liberty Knitwear bagged Gold, Divine Intimates Silver, Flamingo Fashions Bronze Trophy.

In all types of yarn category, Badsha Textiles bagged Gold, Square Textiles Silver and Kamal Yarn Bronze trophy. In Textile Fabrics sector, Nice Denim Mills bagged Gold, Ha-Meem Denim got Silver and Four H Dyeing & Printing got Bronze trophy.

Jaber & Jobair Fabrics bagged Gold, Momtex Expo Silver and ACS Textiles (Bangladesh) Bronze trophy in home and specialized textile sector. In the Terrytowel sector, Noman Terrytowell Mills bagged the gold trophy and ACS Towel got the silver trophy. In the frozen food sector, Pichar Fish Processing Industries bagged the Gold, Priam Fish Exports got the Silver and MUC Foods got the Bronze trophy. In raw jute sector Popular Jute Exchange gets Gold, Tasfia Jute Trading Silver and International Jute Traders gets Bronze trophy.

Janata Jute Mills gets gold and Akiz Jute Mills silver trophy in jute products sector. Picard Bangladesh gets gold and ABC Footwear Industries silver trophy in leather goods sector.

In footwear category, Bay-Footwear bagged Gold, Edison Footwear Silver and FB Footwear Bronze trophy. In the agricultural products sector (excluding tobacco), Indigo Corporation bagged gold, Mansoor General Trading Co. silver and CSS International bagged the bronze trophy.

In Agro processing products sector (excluding tobacco products) Habiganj Agro bagged Gold, Pran Agro Silver and Pran Foods Bronze trophy. In the Handicrafts category Karupanya Rangpur bagged Gold, BD Creation Silver and Classical Handmade Products BD Bronze trophy. Melamine gets gold trophy in durable plastic category. In the plastic products sector, Allplast Bangladesh got gold, Akiz Biox Films got silver and Banga Plastics International got bronze trophy. In the Ceramics category, Shinepukur Ceramics will get Gold, Artisan Ceramics Silver and Prateek Ceramics Bronze Trophy.

In light engineering sector, M&U Cycles won gold, Meghna Bangladesh won silver and Rangpur Metal Industries got bronze trophy. Walton Hi-Tech Industries Plc will get the gold and BRB Cable Industries will get the silver trophy in the electrical and electronics products sector.

In the other industrial products category, Marine Safety Systems will get the gold, Asia Metals Marine Services will get the silver and Tasnim Chemical Complex will get the bronze trophy. In the pharmaceutical sector Beximco Pharmaceuticals bagged Gold, Incepta Pharmaceuticals Silver and Square Pharmaceuticals Bronze trophy.

Service Engine gets gold and Golden Harvest Infotech silver trophy in computer software category. Universal Jeans got Gold, Pacific Jeans got Silver and Shasha Denims got Bronze Trophy in 100% Bangladeshi Owned (C Category) Readymade Garment Industry Sector (Knit & Woven) under EPZ.

Besides, in the sector reserved for women entrepreneurs or exporters, Pioneer Knitwears (BD) will get the gold trophy, Beacon Knitwear will get the silver trophy and Ibrahim Knit Garments will get the bronze trophy. It was informed in the press conference that Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will hand over the trophy to the winners on Sunday.
