An entrepreneurial director of Walton Hi-Tech Industries Plc, a company listed in the engineering sector in the capital market, has announced the transfer of shares.
According to Dhaka and Chittagong Stock Exchange (DSE-CSE) sources, the entrepreneurial director and chairman of the company SM Shamsul Alam has expressed interest in transferring a total of 3 crore 64 lakh 39 thousand 253 shares of the company. Out of this, he gave 91 lakh 75 thousand 701 shares to his daughter Tahmina Afroz Tanna (a director of the company), 1 crore 81 lakh 75 thousand 701 shares to another daughter Sabiha Zarin Arna (general shareholder of the company) and 90 lakh to his wife Shahinur Akhter Jolly (general shareholder of the company). 87 thousand 851 shares will be given as a gift.
The shares in question will be transferred out of the trading system of DSE within 30 working days from September 11.
Incidentally, Walton Hi-Tech Industries was listed on the capital market in 2020. The paid up capital of this ‘A’ category company is 302 crores 92 lakhs 80 thousand taka. According to that, the total number of shares of the company is 30 crore 29 lakh 28 thousand 343. As of August 31 this year, the company’s entrepreneurial directors hold 98.51 percent, institutional investors hold 0.66 percent, foreign investors hold 0.10 percent and general investors hold 0.73 percent.
