jpnn.comJAKARTA – Fashion stylist Irwansyah alias Wanda Hara was reported to the National Police Criminal Investigation Unit on suspicion of blasphemy.
The report was registered with the number LP/B/247/VII/2024/SPKT/BARESKRIM POLRI dated July 24, 2024.
The report of the alleged blasphemy case was the result of Wanda Hara’s wearing of the niqab while attending a study by Ustaz Hanan Attaki.
Advocate Muhammad Rizky Abdullah as the reporter assessed that Irwansyah’s actions in wearing a niqab and attending Ustaz Hanan Attaki’s study while sitting in the women’s row had fulfilled the elements of blasphemy.
According to Rizky, this includes the misuse of religious attributes regulated by law, where men deliberately wear the hijab and niqab.
“In the law or the article on blasphemy, there is something called misuse, the person concerned has worn a niqab, has worn a hijab, has worn a jilbab and attended Ustad Hanan Attaki’s study and sat in the women’s row,” said Rizky at the National Police Criminal Investigation Unit recently.
Due to the alleged case, Wanda Hara was charged with Article 156 a of the Criminal Code concerning Blasphemy.
The stylist of many famous celebrities is facing a five-year prison sentence.
As a result of wearing a niqab at Ustaz Hanan Attaki’s study event, Wanda Hara was reported to the police for alleged blasphemy.
