jpnn.comJAKARTA – Jakarta gubernatorial candidate Pramono Anung admitted that he had submitted a letter of resignation as Minister of Cabinet Secretary (Menseskab) to the President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo (Jokowi) through the Minister of State Secretary (Mensesneg) Pratikno.

“I have conveyed it to the President and I have also submitted it to the State Secretary,” said Pram, Pramono’s nickname, answering media crew in Central Jakarta, Friday (6/9).

However, the former Secretary General of the PDI Perjuangan still needs to complete his duties as Cabinet Secretary. One of them is preparing for a cabinet meeting in the Indonesian Capital (IKN) on September 11, 2024.

He continued the cabinet meeting agenda, making him officially leave office on September 22, 2024.

“I have asked permission from the President, from the Minister of State Secretariat, September 22 is the time,” said Pram.

He said that the position of Cabinet Secretary meant he could not immediately resign from his position because he needed to complete unfinished tasks.

“There are so many tasks and I am still working, even before I came here I was still working as usual,” said Pram.

However, the former Deputy Speaker of the Indonesian House of Representatives admitted that he had spoken informally with Jokowi before sending his letter of resignation.
