New communication war between Moscow and kyiv. Russian armed forces on Sunday claimed to have killed more than 600 Ukrainian servicemen in a massive rocket attack on temporary bases in Kramatorsk, Defense Ministry spokesman Lt. Gen. Igor Konashenkov said on Sunday.

“Over the past day, Russian intelligence means have detected and reliably confirmed through various independent channels some temporary bases of Ukrainian military personnel in Kramatorsk,” Defense Ministry spokesman Lt. Gen. Igor Konashenkov. And to add: “Following a massive rocket strike on these temporary bases of Ukrainian units, more than 600 Ukrainian soldiers were killed”. According to him, more than 700 Ukrainian servicemen were in dormitory no. 28 and more than 600 were in dormitory no. 47 in Kramatorsk.

This strike against the Ukrainian armed forces was part of a retaliatory operation. “In response to an unlawful strike inflicted by the kyiv regime on a temporary Russian military base in the Makeyevka settlement of the Donetsk People’s Republic in the first minutes of January 2023, the command of the United Group of Russian Military Forces conducted a retaliatory operation,” he said.

Ukrainian officials denied that there were any casualties. Ukraine called it propaganda. According to Reuters, none of the dormitories in the city of Kramatorsk appear to have been directly hit or seriously damaged. “There were no obvious signs that soldiers had lived there and no signs of bodies or traces of blood.” Another Italian journalist noted that a missile had missed dormitory 28 and had crashed further, making a big hole.
