War in Ukraine: sleeping bags, wood stoves, batteries… a convoy is preparing from Créteil

by time news

A polar cold fell on the Ile-de-France. But in Ukraine, as the war continues, temperatures drop to -15°C or even -30°C, and families have no heating, no electricity. A situation that “revolts” Stéphane Marinier and Gérard Méligne. These two inhabitants of Créteil (Val-de-Marne), two “men of action”, business leaders in activity and retired, decided by “humanist reflex” to roll up their sleeves to bring “a little warmth for Ukraine”, according to the title of their project. A humanitarian convoy of 13 pallets of equipment will hit the road this Friday, from Stéphane Marinier’s saddlery workshop in Saint-Denis (Seine-Saint-Denis) towards Lviv, in the west of the country.
