The War Memorial Association (Chairman Baek Seung-ju) held the ‘6th KWO Nagy Forum’ under the theme of ‘2024 International Situation Assessment and 2025 Korean Peninsula Security Outlook’ at the Warrior Lounge on the 3rd floor of the War Memorial of Korea on the afternoon of the 27th (Friday).

Professor Jang Dal-joong emphasized that security issues on the Korean Peninsula are closely related to the international situation and must be approached from an international perspective. Professor Choi Dae-seok also said that 2024 is evaluated as the worst period for inter-Korean relations and that we must prepare for the possibility of North Korean provocations in the first half of 2025.

Former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Choi Yun-hee said that as the conflict between the U.S. and China has intensified due to China’s maritime expansion policy, Korea should seriously consider whether to intervene in the event of a Chinese invasion of Taiwan.
