In the second week of September, the summer heat still remained in Latvia, but rain fell in many places under the influence of the cyclone, heavy downpours and thunderstorms were also observed in some places. Next week, the effect of the anticyclone will intensify – the sky will clear, warm and dry weather is expected.
The working week in Latvia will start with a hot day, but it will be cooler only on the sea coast. Monday will be sunny and dry throughout the country, only in the morning the sky will be partially covered by clouds in the west. A slow easterly wind will blow. The air temperature will rise to +22, +27 degrees, and only in Kurzeme, on the coast of the Gulf of Riga, it will be around +20 degrees.
In general, at the beginning of the new week, the weather conditions will be determined by a high pressure area, the amount of clouds will gradually decrease and precipitation is not expected. The wind will be slow in almost the entire territory of the country.
At night, the air will cool down to +11, +16 degrees, in places on the coast it will be a few degrees warmer. The days will still be warm in summer, on Monday and Tuesday the temperature will warm up to +19, +24 degrees, in places in the eastern regions the thermometer will even rise to +26 degrees.
In the middle of the week, the weather will not change significantly, it will remain dry and warm. At night, the air temperature will remain the same as before, and it will not be colder than +10 degrees. However, during the days the air temperature will drop slightly, the air will warm up to +17, +22 degrees, only in places in the south rising to +24 degrees.
Current forecasts show that the weather will remain calm during the weekend as well – significant precipitation is not expected
