Unlike previous days, the weather on Thursday will be very warm and with occasional rain, the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources said in its report.
Meteorologist Jonathan Hernandez said that in the morning, the sky will be partly cloudy, with no rain. In the afternoon, there is a forecast of occasional rain over the Apaneca-Ilamatepec mountain range and in the northern area of Santa Ana and Chalatenango.
At night, cloud cover will continue over high areas, and occasional rain and storms are expected to move through the eastern area, from the north towards the coastal strip of this same sector.
Hernández explained that “the atmosphere will be very warm and foggy during the day, and cool at night and early morning.” Also, the wind during the morning, night and early morning will be from the northeast; while in the afternoon, it will come from the southwest, with a speed between 10 and 20 kilometers per hour (km/h).
“Saharan dust, combined with accelerated easterly flow, limits the probability of rain during this day,” said the meteorologist from the environmental institution.
